Bouncy Castle Rental FAQ's
What are your rental rules and regulations?
How many kids can jump at a time? Each bouncer has specifications for weight guidelines and capacity. Please keep in mind that children of the same age group and size should play together. Different sizes and ages of children should not co-mingle to keep everyone safe. We suggest splitting children into small groups. How long is the rental period? We offer full day rentals. The inflatables get delivered in the morning anytime between 9 am and noon, and then pickup is in the evening between 5 and 7 pm. If you have a specific delivery and pick-up time, we can do our best to accommodate upon prior request. Delivery and pick up times can vary. What if I need to cancel the rental? Life is full of surprises, so we try to be as flexible as possible. We have NO cancellation fees, therefor if the weather is not cooperating your child gets ill you can cancel or reschedule with no additional fees. We do appreciate as much notice as possible with any cancellation or date change. What about bad weather? Safety is our top priority We reserve the right to cancel a rental due to bad weather. If the forecast calls for wind speeds of 30km an hour or higher, or there is a 60% or higher chance of rain, we will contact you prior to the day of your rental to discuss rescheduling options or location changes. Under no circumstances can we set up a bouncy castle or inflatable in high winds, or rain due to the increased chances of injury. Common Sense Warning: Inflatables should never be used when wet inside or with winds that are gusting at 30km hour or stronger. Inflatables can become very slippery when wet and unstable in high winds. If such conditions occur, all occupants must immediately exit the inflatable, and the bouncy castle must be deflated until the bad weather conditions pass. If the inflatable gets wet from the rain, it is required that it be dried out before use again. Are Bouncy Castles safe to rent? All our inflatables are constructed with safety in mind. High-quality fire-retardant materials are used in the manufacturing of our bouncy castles. All our inflatable have the ramps or steps for easy entry and exit. On certain models of inflatable there is a low step over wall. Our bouncy castles have mesh netting and some access holes which allows for easy viewing and supervision of children. Are you insured? Yes, we are fully insured. How much space do I need to set up a Bouncy Castle? Whatever the size of bouncy castle is, plus you need to add another 2 - 3 feet around the outside for safe access, and to prevent equipment damage to allow for inflating fans to be hooked up. It is imperative that you measure in advance as our staff can not set up an inflatable in an area that is unsafe due to limited space. Space requirements tend to only be required for indoor settings. If you have a venue you would like to use let us know as we have put our inflatables in many venues around the city and can advise on space restrictions. Outdoor spaces require more attention to overhead obstacles such as power lines, or tree branches above the area where the inflatable will be placed. Where can I set up a bouncy castle? Our bouncy castle and inflatables can be set up just about any where. This can be a private backyard or a publicly rented location that provides sufficient space. Ideally bounce houses should be set up on grass and secured with pegs, or sandbags. Be sure that the designated setup area is free of utilities both above ground and below. Inflatables can also be set up on driveways such as asphalt or concrete with tarp or plastic sheeting to prevent ripping of the bottom of the inflatable. The setup area should be mostly level, with little or no slope. The surface must be free of all debris, large rocks, mud, pet waste, sticks, tree roots, etc. Ensure that underground sprinklers are not scheduled to be in use while using the bouncy castle rental. Bouncy Castles and Inflatables CAN NOT be set up on gravel, or loose landscaping materials that may be sharp, or other potentially damaging surfaces. A bouncy castle can be set up indoors provided the space is adequate and power is easily accessible. Proper height and width clearance are needed to make sure to allow safe use of the inflatable once fully inflated. Bouncy houses and inflatables cannot be set up on beaches. Do you deliver and set up your castles? Yes, delivery/pickup, setup, and take-down is included in our daily rental fee for customers in the greater Victoria area. Please contact us to find out delivery rates for other Vancouver Island locations outside of Victoria. What method of payments do you accept? We accept VISA, Mastercard, or cash at the time of delivery. Am I required to clean the Bouncy House after the party is over? General cleaning is covered with the rental. If excessive cleaning is required, we have a minimum cleaning charge of $50 depending on severity of the cleaning needed. I want to have my child's party at a public park; can I use one of your inflatables? We can set up in public parks, however a permit may be required by the city. It is best to check with the city prior to booking. Please keep in mind that you will need access to power to inflate the bouncy castle. If power is not available, we can rent you a generator for inflating the bounce house. We cannot set up bouncy castles on the beach. What are the power requirements? Our inflatables require at least one, sometimes more standard 110v household electrical outlets depending on the size of the bouncy house. It would be best if they are on separate breakers(circuits). We will supply an extension cord if necessary, for use up to 100 feet from the electrical source. It is advised that you do not plug anything else in the same plug as the one being used for inflatable, as this could overload the circuit and cause breaker to trip which spoils the party for everyone. If the power source is more than 100 feet, it is recommended to use a generator which we can rent to you if needed. How much space is needed for delivery of a bouncy castle? We need a walkway, doorway, or path that is about 3 and a half feet wide to wheel in the inflatable into your location. Additional charges may be levied for challenging deliveries - for example: lots of stairs, or very steep slopes. How long does it take to set up? Most of our inflatables can be set up and ready to use in about 20-30 minutes. Will the bouncy castle wreck my lawn? Typically an inflatable will temporarily flatten the grass and in a day or two after the removal of the inflatable you should have no visible signs the bouncy house was there. |
